  • FLIPP Executive Functioning PDStrategies to Improve Executive Function: A Foundation for Success - This series supports you in supporting your learners who may lack of appropriate executive function (EF) skills—which includes the ability to switch between topics and activities, initiate action, cope with change, make choices, plan and organize, manage time, inhibit impulses, regulate emotions, and solve problems—make reaching high expectations difficult.  In these sessions, you will gain an understanding of how deficits in executive function affect a student’s learning and behavior and discover how to incorporate numerous evidence-based strategies into school settings that build competent EF skills and provide a foundation for learning and thriving in all environments.

EUSD Behavior Modification Series: Tier II Interventions for Struggling Students - Patrick Newton. In this hands-on professional development, participants will be introduced to our Multi-Tiered System of Support for students, discuss basic human behavioral theory in relation to their classroom, and understand how reinforcement builds new skills in emerging learners. Participants will have the ability to reflect on a case study from their own class and behavior plan using strategies they can implement the next day to improve student behavior. This PD is perfect for any teacher (Gen Ed, SPED, PE, etc.) who has asked themself, "why does that person always do that?!""Behavior goes, where reinforcement flows."Grade Levels: Preschool, TK-8 | Subjects/ Placement: All (Special Education, General Education, TREC, PE, etc.)
