Purposeful Professional Growth based on your ILP Goals - 6.2 Engage in continuous and purposeful professional growth & development and focus on improving student learning.Heather will lead participants in creating an independent professional growth plan based on your ILP Goals. For each PLN date, you will be able to participate in differentiated learning including, but not limited to:

1. Independent or collaborative book study
2. Viewing webinars and reflecting on your practice
3. Creating engaging long-term units of study that focus on personalized learning for your students - Colleague Observation

All who choose this option will document your professional growth on your ILP.

During this professional learning opportunity we will be exploring data collection in Special Education:
What is data collection and why is it so important?
What are some different types of data collection?
What are the key components of data collection.
We will also be exploring various data collection sheet examples. In addition, selecting appropriate data collection sheets in alignment with student goals.

During this professional learning opportunity we will take a closer look at progress monitoring in Special Education as well as collecting appropriate information/data to support completion of Special Education progress reports.    
We will be:
Taking a closer look at IEP progress report expectations to ensure legal compliance.
Taking a closer look at data collection to ensure appropriate information is gathered.
Practice writing IEP goal progress.
We will also be reviewing best practices for collecting IEP goal data, writing IEP goal progress, and completing IEP progress reports.
